Harmonia TCM grew from an observation we made while operating DT HUB Hair Salon and DT Hair Growth Center: a person’s sense of health and confidence rarely exists in only one dimension. Someone seeking a new look may also be concerned about their scalp, sleep, stress, pain or everyday wellbeing. These needs should not be blended into a single service, but they deserve to be understood within clear professional boundaries.

We therefore established Harmonia TCM within the same integrated space in Kwun Tong. The three brands belong to the same group, while remaining operationally independent with their own services and fees. Harmonia TCM focuses on Chinese medicine consultations, pain-related care and individual constitution; DT Hair Growth Center addresses scalp and hair-growth needs; and DT HUB focuses on hairstyling, Head Spa and personal image. DT HUB is built around “Design & Transformation”, using professional design to support changes in appearance and confidence, while DT Hair Growth Center brings Chinese medicine and hair expertise into the scalp- and hair-care setting.

The purpose of this shared space is not to merge Chinese medicine, hair-growth care and salon services into one programme. It is to allow each profession to do what it does best. When a client’s needs fall within another professional area, we may—only with the client’s agreement—provide referral information for the relevant brand. This makes the next step more convenient while preserving independent professional judgement and clear service boundaries.

“Harmony” reflects the balance we seek within everyday wellbeing and the mutual respect between different professions. “Balance” also reminds us to exercise care and proportion in every recommendation. Harmonia TCM was created as a place where people can pause, understand their needs and make informed choices. Rather than offering the same answer to everyone, we begin with the individual and provide care with professionalism, clarity and warmth.

Harmonia TCM is a Chinese medicine clinic in Kwun Tong offering professional support for pain-related concerns, individual constitution and other Chinese medicine needs. Consultations are independently conducted by registered Chinese medicine practitioners, who consider each person’s circumstances and explain the available options, relevant precautions and proposed arrangements before agreeing on the next step.

What matters to us is not the number of services available, but whether each service has a clear purpose, an appropriate professional and reasonable boundaries. Harmonia TCM is committed to professional judgement, transparent communication, respect for privacy and individual consideration, so that clients can make informed decisions with confidence.

Three brands, one shared setting, clearly separated roles

Harmonia TCM shares an integrated location with DT HUB Hair Salon and DT Hair Growth Center, allowing clients to access different professional services in one familiar and convenient setting. Their positioning, professional responsibilities, service decisions and fees remain clearly separated. Sharing a location does not automatically combine services, and one brand does not make professional decisions for another.

If a client’s needs fall outside one brand’s scope, we explain the distinction first and allow the client to decide whether to accept a cross-brand referral. Sharing one location does not mean that services are automatically bundled into a single programme. Personal or health information should not be used across brands without consent.

Listen first, explain clearly, decide together

When someone first considers Chinese medicine, the priority is not to select a treatment from a website title. It is to describe the current concern clearly. A registered Chinese medicine practitioner may need to understand the main symptoms, timing, changes, impact on daily life, medical history, current medication or treatment, and the practical outcome the client hopes to regain. For pain-related concerns, the discussion may also include movement and function where relevant, but the practitioner decides the appropriate assessment for the individual.

Only after the necessary assessment can possible directions be explained in context. A useful discussion covers the purpose of an option, its limits, relevant risks, precautions, proposed arrangements and alternatives. Clients can ask questions, request a clearer explanation, consider another route or decide not to proceed. An informed choice is not a formality; it is part of the professional proportion that Harmonia TCM aims to preserve.

Responses to Chinese medicine care can vary with the concern, constitution, duration, lifestyle and other medical factors. General website information should therefore not be interpreted as a universal plan or an outcome promise. If a concern requires laboratory testing, imaging, emergency care or another specialist assessment, appropriate conventional medical care should not be delayed because someone has read information about Chinese medicine.

When symptoms belong to another professional scope, or when warning signs require faster attention, an appropriate next step may be conventional assessment, referral or continued coordination with an existing healthcare team. Putting safety before a service choice is part of responsible care, not an interruption to it.

Acupuncture, manual techniques and herbal options each have suitability criteria and limitations. People who are pregnant, use anticoagulants, have a bleeding risk, recently underwent surgery, are receiving cancer treatment or live with a significant long-term condition should raise this before any relevant option is considered and keep their existing healthcare team informed. Prescribed medication should never be stopped or changed solely because of website information.

Sudden chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, new one-sided weakness, slurred speech, severe allergic reactions, heavy bleeding or other rapidly worsening symptoms require immediate medical help rather than a routine Chinese medicine booking. Persistent, recurrent or unexplained symptoms also deserve an appropriate assessment, even when they do not appear to be an emergency.

Privacy, referrals and use of information

Sharing an integrated space does not mean sharing every piece of information. Personal and health information obtained during a Chinese medicine consultation should be handled for the relevant service purpose and under applicable requirements. If a referral to DT Hair Growth Center, DT HUB or another professional service may be helpful, the reason, the information involved and the client’s ability to decline should be explained first.

Clients may use only one brand, or decide to contact another after understanding the different roles. Accepting or declining a cross-brand referral should not change the client’s right to clear information and independent professional judgement from the original brand. Each brand should separately explain the fees for the service it provides.
